It was Kwabena Adusei who first opened the account for the Porcupine Warriors from the spot before Seidu Bancey and David Ofei extended the lead to grab a spot at the quarter-finals stage of the knockout competition.
The Porcupine Warriors will hope to win the tournament or that of the domestic top flight or both to appease their fans who are yearning to see the Kumasi giants return to Africa or finish the season with a silverware.
The Fabulous club could be participating in next season’s Caf Confederations Cup if they win the FA Cup or will get back to the Caf Champions League should they finish the 2012-13 season with their 22nd Ghana Premier League trophy.
