The Ghana captain will be rewarded for his impressive goal scoring statistics in the UAE league last season
Ghana Striker, Asamoah Gyan will be handed the prestigious golden shoe award for becoming the 2011-12 all Arabian Leagues top scorer of the season.
The Black Stars skipper will be given the award set up by the Al Hadath Al Riyadi magazine today before his side Al Ain takes on Al Shabab in the UAE top flight.
Gyan finished the 2011-12 season with 21 goals in 22 matches.
The 27-year-old will be presented with the award by the editor of the Al Hadath Al Riyadi magazine, Saeed Gabris as the 33rd winner since its inception in the 1979/80 season.
The former Sunderland man becomes the ninth player from the UAE league to win the accolade.
