The amount is one of the highest proceeds from Black Stars game in recent times and the sponsors of the Black Stars such as Guinness had their products widely purchased, checks show.

With such support for the Black Stars from the fans and looking at the amount raised in Kumasi it is now well certain that all Black Stars games will now be staged in the Garden City.

The Black Stars won the game 4-0 to maintain the momentum as Ghana seek to qualify for the global football fiesta for the third consecutive time.
