The Mauves and Yellows have promoted their assistant man on the touchline to the hot seat until the 2012-13 term of the domestic top flight is overThe assistant coach of Medeama Evans Adotey has been elevated to the substantive seat until the 2012-13 season of the Ghana Premier League ends.
The table-toppers in a statement said the coach has shown high level of commitment since he took over and he has been entrusted with the top position because he has what it takes to win the domestic top flight for them.
“Adotey has shown massive commitment to the club and will be given the needed support to achieve our aim of winning the Ghana Premier League title this season,” the Mauves and Yellows said on their official website.
Adotey was in charge of the Tarkwa-based club when they crashed out Wa All Stars from the Ghana MTN FA Cup as well as a 1-0 win over league contenders King Faisal in Kumasi last weekend.
Medeama were hoping to give the job to former Aduana Stars coach and Romanian Cioaba Aristica following the firing of former coach Shaibu Tanko, but have opted to hand the team to the Ghanaian till the term ends to assess his performance.
