thumbnail Hello,

The midfielder got his ankle cricked on Sunday evening in a game against Maritimo and that could be a major blow to the Black Stars in their Sudan tie Sunday

Ghana is at risk of losing scintillating winger Christian Atsu in the 2014 World Cup qualifier against Sudan on Sunday following an ankle injury.

Atsu who has been instrumental in Ghana’s World Cup qualifying campaign was substituted in the 10th minute for an ankle sprain in FC Porto’s league game against Maritimo on Sunday.

After the game, the midfielder wrote via his twitter handle: “I got my ankle twisted in this evening’s game against Maritimo.

“I know God made everything happened to my favour. Thank you Jehovah!”

But news gathered from the medical department of Porto indicates that he will be re-assessed in a couple days to determine its severity.
