Mahatma Otoo among scorers as Hearts of Oak beat Berekum Arsenal 3-1

The 21-year-old sealed the victory for the Phobians who have been unbeaten in the second round

Mahatma Otoo fetched the third goal for Accra Hearts of Oak as the 20-time league champions thumped Berekum Arsenal 3-1 at the Accra sports stadium.

Romeo Abban and Esme Mends had earlier scored for David Duncan’s men before Douglas Nkrumah pulled one back for the visitors from the spot.

Otoo, the Hearts of Oak captain made sure he joined the list of scorers after finding the back of the net with two minutes left on the clock.

Hearts are still unbeaten in the second round after beating King Faisal 1-0 and drawing 1-1 with Medema Sc in Tarkwa.

Otoo who has been given a call-up by Ghana coach, Kwesi Appiah will join the Black Stars camp on Monday with confidence after scoring in the last three games for the Phobians.

He scored the goal against Medema before sealing the 1-0 victory over BA Stars last week.
