The midfielder is in the state of expectancy following his two week successful trials in Germany
The captain of the Blues has been on a two-week trial with the German outfit and is hoping his stay at the club will earn him a deal. Abdul-Basit on his return to Chelsea scored the only goal to give his side a 1-0 victory over Amidaus Professionals at the Tema Park on Sunday in the Ghana Premier League.
The 22-year-old is optimistic something good will come out from the two weeks stay in Germany.
“My stay in Germany wasn't easy because it was very cold, but I did my best and the officials were impressed with my output,” Abdul Basit told Accra-based Joy FM.
“After my trials, I had a meeting with the coach of Freiburg and he was so impressed with my output.”
