There's always room for improvement - Ghana's Dominic Oduro

The 27-year-old helped Columbus Crew win their first game of the 2013 season in the Major League Soccer

Ghana international Dominic Oduro scored in Columbus Crew's 3-0 victory over Chivas USA in their 2013 Major League Soccer campaign with three points in hand.

Oduro provided a goal when he raced 75 yards after a Chivas corner kick, got around Chivas' Dan Kennedy and easily finished into an empty goal.

The victory was the Black and Gold's first since 2005 when playing Chivas on the road.

Oduro who arrived at Crew in the middle of preseason said he is relieved to have scored on his MLS debut for Crew.

"It's good to go on the road and get a win," Oduro told the club website. "[The Home Depot Center] is not an easy place to play. I think we did well defensively staying disciplined."

"We did well. There's always room for improvement, but it certainly feels good to get a win and put some goals in the net," he added.

Columbus will play away to Vancouver on Sartuday.
