Ghana FA writes to Andre and Jordan Ayew to rescind Black Stars retirement decision

The game's governing body is set to meet the Olympique Marseille duo to iron out differences following their decision to temporarily withdrawal their services
The Ghana Football Association has confirmed it is not accepting the resignation of Andre and Jordan Ayew from the Black Stars.

The Emergency Committee has resolved to do everything within its powers to resolve all issues relating to the Ayews’ decisions, including strained relationships between both players and the Black Stars Management Committee.

The GFA said it has written to the Olympique Marseille duo “to ask them to reconsider their decisions to temporarily retire from the Black Stars.”

“We have asked Jordan to reconsider his decision and make himself available for selection for future Black Stars assignments,” the GFA said.

“For Andre the GFA is keen on knowing the details of his grievances so that an amicable settlement can be reached. We want to assure Ghanaians that we will engage Andre and Jordan in
discussions to get them to rescind their decisions,” it concluded.
