The Dribbling Magician has appealed to the football governing body to meet with the Olympique Marseille duo to reverse their decision to quit Ghana
The Ayew brothers on Tuesday announced their decision to temporarily withdraw their services from the Black Stars citing different reasons for their decision to be excused from national assignment until further notice.
However, the former Ghana international is calling on both the Black Stars management committee and the Ghana FA to settle their differences for the betterment of the country.
“My advice to the GFA is for them to sit down with the Ayew brothers to settle their differences and talk to them to rescind their decision even if it will involve getting their family to help talk to the guys for the interest of the nation,” Polo told GBC Ura Radio Sports in Bolgatanga.
He added that if all efforts are made to get them back prove futile then the team must move on without the duo. According to him, coach Kwesi Appiah must restrategise his team to make sure Ghana qualify for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
“If after talking to them and they are still adamant in changing their minds to play for the nation then I think the team must just make due with their absence and strive on in the world cup qualifier.”
