Ghana's Abdul Majeed Waris set to make injury return
The Spartak Moscow forward is expected to return to light training after a muscle injury which made him miss days of training sessions
Ghana international Abdul Majeed Waris is set to make an injury return next week after picking up a knock in Spartak Moscow’s friendly games.
Waris suffered a muscle strain in Spartak Moscow’s 3-2 friendly win over Norwegian side Stromsgodset, a game which he scored the opener.
Waris who won the goal king award in the Swedish Allsvagen last season with BK Hacken was forced out of the game which was just 19 minutes old.
According to club doctors, the former Right to Dream Academy player has undergone series of scans and should be fit to return to training by next week.
Waris also scored a double in his first game in which Spartak Moscow won against Romanian side FC Otelul Galati in a friendly game in Spain.
