Ghana midfielder, Michael Essien’s dreams of landing a silverware at Real Madrid is on course after helping Los Blancos to reach the final of the Copa del Rey.

Jose Mourinho’s men beat Barcelona 3-1 at Camp Nou on Tuesday night to advance to the final of the King’s cup with a 4-2 aggregate win.

Essien played the last six minutes of the game after replacing Xavi Alonso in the 84th minute.

The 30-year-old who is on loan from Chelsea is bent on winning a trophy with the nine-time European champions before going back to Stamford Bridge in summer.

Real Madrid will play against either Sevilla or Atletico Madrid in the final.
