Sellas Tetteh names provisional 24-man squad for Africa Youth Championship in Algeria
The Black Satellites are to embark on a trip to Italy and Spain after which the squad will be reduced to 21
The head coach of the Black Satellites Sellas Tetteh has named a strong 24-man squad for the Ghana Under-20 side to tour Europe ahead of next month’s Africa Youth championships.
The team will later be joined by two foreign-based players before the number is finally whittled down to 21 for the competition.
The Black Satellites will depart Accra on Wednesday for the Italian Province of Novara and Catalonya in Spain on a two-week preparatory tour prior to the competition.
Anderlecht midfielder Frank Acheampong will join the rest of the team in Spain next week.
The list is dominated by players who ply their trades in the Ghana Glo Premier League with Tema Youth and Liberty Professionals players dominating.
The Black Satellites are expected to come up against the Youth side of Serie B team Novara and AC Milan before they take on the Barcelona team B in another friendly before the competition.

Defenders: Lawrence Lartey, Jeremiah Arkoful, Kofi Koomson, Ahmed Adams, Joseph Attamah Larweh, Ebenezer Ofori, Richmond Nketia, Prince bell Addico.
Midfielders: Derrick Mensah, Emmanuel Gyamfi, Seidu Salifu, Jacob Appau, Ollenu Ashitey, Michael Anaba, Moses Odjier, Clifford Aboagye, Kwame Boahene, Kennedy Ashia.
