The captain of the FA Cup holders has been handed an indefinite suspension for leaving camp without permission
New Edubiase have given their captain Asiedu Attobrah an indefinite suspension for going AWOL – absent without leave.
Goal.com Ghana understand that the playmaker left Edubiase's camp and is yet to return whilst all efforts to get him on phone has proved futile.
“It’s a difficult situation for us but we have decided to place an indefinite suspension on Asiedu Attobrah,” club president Abdul Salam Mumuni said in a press statement.
“We know he’s an important player for us but we can do without him.
‘The right thing must be done. He left camp without any permission and he has since not returned,” the statement added.
“It’s important we instill discipline in the players and it must begin with slapping a suspension on him to serve as a deterrent to others.”
Attobrah will thus not be part of the team when the Ghana FA Cup champions play away to Congolese champions Diables Noirs this weekend.
