Ghana’s Akaminko scores debut goal for Eskisehirspor in league draw

The rearguard got his name on the scoreboard which happened to be his first for the Turkish side in an away draw game
Ghana centre-back Jerry Akaminko was on the score sheet for his Turkish side Eskisehirspor in their 2-2 away league draw against Istanbul BB on Saturday evening.

The Black Stars defender played the entire duration of the game and was solid at the back for his side.

The former Kpando Heart of Lions centre-back equalised for the visitors in the 52nd minute after Samuel Holmen had shot the home side in front.

The draw took Eskisehirspor to seventh position with 23 points after 23 games have been played in the 2012-13 Turkish Süper Lig.

Akaminko was a member of the Black Stars team that finished fourth at the just ended Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.

That was Akaminko’s first goal for the team ever since he joined them from Manisaspor last year.
