The striker has served notice he is not content with the three goals he scored against giants Hearts and Kotoko and wants to add more when the league resumes
King Faisal striker Prince Boateng hopes to continue the second round of the Ghana Premier League in similar fashion as he did in the first round with some crucial goals for the team.
The Black Satellites striker scored three goals in the first round, including a strike against Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko which on both occasions rescued them from defeat.
The 17-year-old who came through the ranks of the Faisal youth system is now hoping to hammer in the goals on a regular basis when the top flight resumes this weekend.
“It was a great feeling scoring against the two big traditional teams in the country against Hearts and Kotoko, but I don’t think as a striker that is enough,” he told GBA URA Radio Sports in Bolgatanga.
According to the striker, he is not content with the three goals under his belt and is now targeting more in the second round.
“I want to do more to help Faisal, looking at the league table, it is going to be a very tough round for all the teams since every team will be fighting for the maximum points,” he noted.
Boateng was of the hopes that he would find the back of net regularly in the second round of the Premier League.
He was the hero in Faisal battle for promotion into the premier league last season with both goals against Hasaacas in last season’s Middle League playoffs that brought the side back to domestic top flight.
