The attacking midfielder says he is fully fit to continue from where he left off in the Ghana League and poised to light up the domestic top flight
Amidaus Professionals midfielder Yahaya Mohammed says he is ready to continue with his stellar performance from the first round of the Ghana Premier League when the second round kick starts this weekend.
The on-loan Asante Kotoko player has fully recovered from a groin injury that forced him out of Kwesi Appiah’s provisional 26-man squad and eventually ruling him out of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
Amidaus Professionals will begin the second round of the Ghana Premier League with an away trip to Kumasi to face Real Tamale United on Saturday.
The 25-year-old has served notice he is ready to continue from where he left off in January.
”I will be in action this weekend since I’m strong and fit,” Mohammed told Accra-based Joy FM. “The expectation now is going to be high considering my performance in the first round of the league but I have a target as well so I will prove myself again. I’m ready to start."
"Now I’m feeling better, started training about three weeks ago and I’m 100 percent fit.”
Mohammed currently leads the Ghana Premier League top scorers’ chart with 10 goals.
