The former players of Berekum Chelsea have until this weekend to report to their new boss in Congo
TP Mazembe’s head coach Lamine N’diaye expects his newly-signed Ghanaian duo Solomon Asante and Richard Kissi-Boateng to finally arrive at the club this weekend as they step up their preparations for the league and the Caf Champions League.
N’diaye told the official website of the Ravens he is waiting for the two former Berekum Chelsea players to be in DR Congo this weekend as he wants to use them in the friendly and trial matches he is playing.
Goal.com Ghana, however, understands that the duo who were part of the Black Stars team which finished fourth in the just ended Africa Cup of Nations tournament in South Africa are still in Ghana.
The Mazembe coach’s first 11 which he has been using in the trial games have three Ghanaians - Yaw Frimpong, Gladson Awako and Nii Adjei - who have all been excellent.
Asante and Boateng were bought by the former African champions for $600,000 and $200,000 respectively in an effort to build a solid team to rule the continent once again.
