Ex Black Stars players will be key to Ghana’s successes – Anthony Baffoe

The former Ghana defender thinks the retired players can have a great impact on the Black Stars if given the chance to work with them

Former Ghana player, Anthony Baffoe has called on the Ghana FA to draft in some former Black Stars players at major tournaments.

The Fifa and Caf match commissioner wants Ghana to resort to the approach of the Nigerians at the 2013 Afcon.

During the tournament, two prominent retired Nigerian players, Nwankwo Kanu and Austin Jay Jay Okocha played a significant role in Nigeria’s Afcon winning journey.

“The only way the Black Stars can move forward is to get some ex players to be part of the technical team.

“They know what some of us have done during our days so we can motivate them.

“I’m sure if the Ghana FA are able to get some of the former players on board, we can even qualify to the 2014 world cup,” Baffoe told Accra based, Radio Gold.
