The Dutchman says he never engaged his colleague in a fight, but were involved in a “misunderstanding” during training sessions last week
The Technical Director of Berekum Chelsea Hans Van Der Pluym has debunked reports that he picked up a fight with head coach Yusif Abubakar at training.
Speaking to Goal.com Ghana, the Dutchman said it was a minor quarrel that ensued between them, adding that it is all in the past now.
“It is behind me now but the most important thing is that it was just a misunderstanding,” Van Der Pluym said.
Meanwhile, the 65-year-old added that the former league champions will work hard in the second round of the league to win its second domestic title.
The Berekum-based club currently occupies the fourth spot on the league log with 25 points.
The former Heart of Lions trainer who guided the Blues to their first ever continental appearance in last year’s Caf Champions League said he is confident of a smooth campaign this season.
