The Ghanaian midfielder is confident Genk can make the last 16 of the Europa League after drawing 1-1 with Stuttgart in the first leg

Ghanaian international, Benard Yao Kumordzi has expressed delight over Genk's performance in Thursday’s Europa League round of 32 clash.

Genk recorded a 1-1 draw at the Mercedes Benz Arena in Germany and have an advantage going into the second leg.

Glynor Plet denied Stuttgart a narrow win with a last minute equalizer.

Kumordzi who played 75 minutes of the game believes the away goal has placed them in pole position to make it to the round of 16.

"It was not an easy game but we kept our focus and discipline on the pitch to get this result and for me and my teammates, we are delighted with the away goal.

"We know the job is not done yet since we need to fight hard in the return leg.

"We are determined to book our place in the last 16 so we will fight till the end," the 27-year-old told Goal.com Ghana.

The second leg will be played at the Cristal Arena on Febraury 21, 2013.
