The medical team of the Black Stars of Ghana is going to be dissolved for their poor work at the just ended Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.
Goal.com Ghana understands that the medical team led by Dr. Baba Adamu failed to provide concrete reports concerning the health of striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom and midfielder Anthony Annan.
According to Ghana FA sources, a new medical team will be instituted to help the Black Stars when they go on future assignments to prevent such occurrences again.
This is the second time in a major tournament that the Black Stars technical team has failed to provide convincing reports on players’ injuries to the coach as it happened in the Nations Cup in 2008 where Illiasu Alhassan spent the entire tournament on the bench.
Annan earned about 15 minutes of play time throughout the tournament but the Sassuolo striker could not kick a ball in a competition that Ghana finished fourth.
