The Ghanaian midfielder is hoping he will be on the winning side after their trip to the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Germany to face Stuttgart on Thursday night
Genk midfielder Bennard Kumordzi is confident his Belgium outfit can spring a surprise in tonight’s Europa League round of 32 fixture.
Kumordzi’s club face an uphill task of getting a result in Germany against VfB Stuttgart who will be looking to end a miserable run in their European fixtures.
This will be the first time Genk and Stuttgart are meeting in Uefa club competition. With Stuttgart winning their last seven games against Belgian sides.
The former Panionios player who confirmed to Goal.com Ghana he is in the starting 11 of Mario Been’s team against Stuttgart reckons it will not be an easy game, but they are poised to get a good result in Germany.
“It’s a big game and for me personally I have been looking forward to this so will give 100 percent to help the team get a good result in Germany,” Kumordzi told Goal.com Ghana.
“Stuttgart are a great side and we respect that but for us [Genk] our main aim is to get through the round of 32 stage and I believe we have a good chance to succeed in Germany,” the 27-year-old Ghana international added.
