Diables Noirs arrive in Ghana for Confederations Cup clash with New Edubiase

The 18-man contingent arrived in Ghana on Wednesday and will take on the Ghanaian debutants on Saturday

Congolese side Diables Noirs have arrived in Accra for Sunday's Caf Confederations Cup preliminary round qualifier against Ghana’s New Edubiase United.

The Brazzaville-based side is currently lodging at the Stella Hotel in Tema Community 8.

The eight-time Congolese champions will be using the Tema Park as their training grounds before they move to the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday for their final session for the match.

Edubiase are making their debut appearance in the continent’s second-tier inter-clubs competition after winning the MTN FA Cup last season.

They have struggled in the Ghana Premier League this term and finished in 11th place at the end of the first round of the Glo Premier League season.

The Congolese last game on Ghanaian soil was in 2006 when they lost 2-0 to Berekum Arsenal at the Accra Sports Stadium in the same competition.
