Black Stars move into the top 20 region and takes the second spot in Africa as reigning Africa champions Nigeria take the fourth spot on the continent

Ghana improved seven places up on the Fifa/Coca-Cola ranking to make it to the 19th spot worldwide.

The west African country was previously ranked 26th on the overall standings, but moved to their current spot after accumulating more points to reach a total of 865.

The Febuary edition of the ranking saw plenty of movements with qualifiers for the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil ensuring a number of changes compared to last month. 

Ghana moved two places up to occupy the second position on the African ranking table. Ivory Coast are still leaders while African champions Nigeria moved five places up to take the fourth positon in Africa. Mali retained their third place on the table.

Spain are still tops with Germany second and Argentina moving into third on the world ranking table.

The first matches of the latest round of CONCACAF qualifying matches for the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil and 2013 Africa cup of Nations have resulted in improved rankings for nearly all of the teams involved.
