Ghana midfielder Andre Dede Ayew has been voted as Olympique Marseille's best player for the month of January.
Ayew who missed out of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations put in some impressive performances for Les Phoceens which caught the eyes of their teeming fans to vote for him.
Ayew who got 55 percent of the total votes by fans beat off stiff competition from his younger brother Jordan Ayew who came in second with 24 percent as well as his team-mate Andre Pierre Gignac coming in third with 21 percent.
The 23-year old scored three goals in Marseille’s league games in the month of January.
“Yes, this is important because I had an early season quite complicated with a lot of injuries. Currently, I'm trying to show that when I'm 100%, I can do the job properly. But I still have a huge room for improvement, I'm still very young and I'm still growing up now,” Ayew told the club website.
Olympique Marseille are currently sitting in third position on the league table with eight points behind league leaders Paris Saint-Germain.
