Valencia to make summer swoop for Espanyol's Mubarak Wakaso

The joint-top scorer in the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations is being monitored by scouts of The Bats after an impressive performance in South Africa
Ghana international Mubarak Wakaso is likely to move to Valencia when the summer transfer window opens as talks have already begun with his agent. Ghana can reveal that scouts of The Orange are in South Africa watching the Espanyol player and talks have already begun with his Nigerian agent over his transfer.

“Manager Ernesto Valverde is very impressed with Wakaso. He has been monitoring him in the La Liga and has sent scouts to South Africa to watch him also,” a close source to the midfielder hinted Ghana.

“Talks have begun with his Nigerian agent and it is possible he will leave Espanyol in the summer. Other clubs in Italy such as Roma are also after him.”

Wakaso might choose to stay in Spain as he told Ghana in an interview last year that he likes Spanish football so much.

The former Ashantigold, Elceo and Villareal player is a joint-top scorer in the ongoing 2013 Africa Cup of Nations tournament with four goals in his name.
