It is believed that the 31-year-old tore a muscle in his thigh.
The former Westham United and Fulham defender went down with no contact and had to be replaced by Solomon Asante.
Details of the extent of his injury will be available by the medical team of Ghana by Thursday morning.
Meanwhile, midfielder, Mohammed Rabiu will miss Saturday's match after picking another yellow card today.
The Evian player needed to avoid a card to be able to play in Ghana's final match at the tournament.
