ENGLAND

A Fulham side, minus Emmanuel Frimpong, lost to a Wayne Rooney goal as a floodlight incident could not deny United victory at Craven Cottage. The striker calmly found the bottom corner in front of England manager Roy Hodgson.

Supersub Ajay Leitch-Smith came off the substitutes' bench for Mathias Pogba to grab all three points for Abdul Osman’s Crewe Alexandra and end Scunthorpe's four-game unbeaten run. The Ghanaian midfielder played the full game for his side

In England’s League Two, Kevin Amankwaah’s Exeter City and Aldershot battled out a goalless draw at St James Park in Exeter, Devon, with a point not helping City's promotion aspirations. Exeter City’s now 10 points behind league leaders Port Vale, who have played a game less.

Substitute Matt McClure replaced Ghana striker Jo Kuffour in the 75th minute and scored with five minutes to go to hand Wycombe a 1-0 victory away to promotion-chasing Gillingham. Gillingham goalkeeper Stuart Nelson had denied Kuffour from close range before he was substituted.
PORTUGAL

William Tiero‘s Gil Vicente were 4-2 winners over Maritimo. Joao Vilela's early penalty was followed by a Luis Carlos goal as Gil took a 2-0 lead at the interval. David Simao pulled one back from the spot for Maritimo but a Hugo Vieira double sent the home side into a 4-1 lead before he was replaced by Tiero in the 83rd minute.

David Addy’s Vitoria Guimarães suffered its first loss in seven games as a Jackson Martinez hat-trick helped FC Porto to record a 4-0 win. The Colombia striker has taken his tally to 18 goals.

TURKEY
Striker Emmanuel Osei Banahene scored his 8th goal of the season for Karşıyaka’s in a 1-1 draw at Ankaragücü. Substitute Erdogan scored the equaliser for the bottom side.

A strike from Ivorian Gerard Gohou was the difference between league leaders Kayseri Erciyesspor and Torric Jebrin’s 1461 Trabzon. The former Accra Hearts of Oak talent was substituted in the 78th minute.

ITALY

Ghanaian-born Italian striker Mario Balotelli made all the headlines by scoring twice on his AC Milan debut as Sulley Muntari and Kevin-Prince Boateng did not play.

An early Alessandro Matri strike and another by Stephan Lichtsteiner saw Juventus go three points clear at the top of Serie A thanks to victory over mid-table Chievo at the Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi. Midfielder Isaac Cofie was in Chievo’s starting eleven but he was substituted in the secong half.

In Serie B, Raman Chibsah played the last 26 minutes of the game for league leaders Sassuolo in a 1-1 draw against  Empoli.

Livorno recorded a 2-0 win over strugglers Pro Vercelli as second half goals from Paulinho and Siligardi did the damage. Alfred Duncan lasted the entire duration of the game. 

SPAIN

Michael Essien did not play this weekend as a Cristiano Ronaldo own goal earned Granada all the three points at the Estadio Nuevo Los Cármenes.

In Spain’s Segunda Division, goalkeeper Razak Brimah kept a clean sheet in Guadalajara’s goalless draw against Villarreal.

Meanwhile, Thomas Teye Partey scored the equaliser as Atletico Madrid II drew 1-1 with Zamora. Defender Stephen Owusu-Ansah played the full game for Rayo Vallecano II when they lost 1-0 to Coruxo.

FRANCE

Andre Ayew scored for the third successive week for Olympique Marseille but this time it was at the wrong side of the pitch. His own was the only goal of the game as his side lost 1-0 to AS Nancy at the Stade Vélodrome. His brother Jordan Ayew played his 14th game of the season as Joey Barton was sent off.

Ishmael Yartey lasted 58 minutes for Sochaux who lost 2-1 to St Etienne at the Stade Auguste-Bonal.
GERMANY

Newly-signed TSG Hoffenheim player Afriyie Acquah was on the bench as his side lost 2-1 at Eintracht Frankfurt. Acquah joined from Serie A side Palermo who had loaned him out to Parma.

Baba Abdul Rahman made his sixth Bundesliga appearance as bottom side Greuther Fürth pulled off a shock 2-1 win at Champions League side Schalke 04. With Baba solid at the back, Serbia striker Nikola Djurdjic scored the winner in the 92nd minute to break Fuerth's 17-match winless streak in the Bundesliga, but they remain 11 points from safety at the foot of the table.

BELGIUM
Nine-man Anderlecht snatched a 2-2 home draw against Standard Liege thanks to a late Guillaume Gillet equaliser. Defender Daniel Opare played his first full game for Liège in four months.

Abdul Yakinu-Iddi lasted the entire game for KV Mechelen but could not help his side record a victory at the Guldensporenstadion. His side lost 2-1 at Kortrijk. Ibrahim Ayew and Richard Ofori played full throttle for ten-man Lierse SK who shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw with Lokeren.

Former FC Utrecht defender Francis Dickoh played 88 minutes for Cercle Brugge who lost 2-1 to Zulte-Waregem.

Bernard Kumordzi’s  Racing Genk recorded an impressive 4-1 win over Club Brugge. Former Nordsjælland and Ghana under 17 star Enoch Adu Kofi played full time for Club Brugge.

Abraham Kudemor played 70 minutes for Sporting Chaleroi who lost 1-0 to OH Leuven. Nigeria’s Chuka Ogbu scored the only goal of the game as Kudemor was booked for the away side.

William Owusu Acheampong set up two goals for Westerlo who defeated Heist 3-0 in the Tweede Klasse.

NETHERLANDS

In the Eredivisie, Kwame Quansah’s Heracles Almelo gave away a 2-goal lead at the Parkstad Limburg Stadion in Kerkrade as Dorda’s 90th minute own goal saw them draw 3-3 with Roda JC.

Fred Benson’s PEC Zwolle lost 3-0 to an in form NAC Breda

Nana Akwasi Asare led his FC Utrecht to a convincing 4-2 win over FC Twente on Sunday and thus leapfrogged Vitesse, who lost this weekend, as number five on the Eredivisie standings.

OTHERS
Israel

In the Ligat ha'Al, Osei Mawuli’s came on in the second half as Ironi Kiryat Shmona drew 1-1 at Hapoel Acre.

Cyprus  

In Cyprus 1 Division, Shaibu Yakubu’s Enosis lost 1-0 at Omonia Nicosia.

India

Defender Evans Quao scored his 4th goal of the season for Mumbai in a second successive draw as his side gave away a two goal lead. Quao opened the scoring for his side in the 40th minute before Nigeria’s Opara doubled the lead but two late goals from supersubs Sakibo and Carvalho denied Dempo the three points. His team drew 2-2 at Dempo as striker Yusif Yakubu failed to score again.Mumbai is 13 points behind league leaders East Bengal.
