Berekum chelsea plan to drag Esperance to Fifa over Emmanuel Clottey's transfer saga
The former Ghanaian champions will resort to Fifa to step in if Esperance fail to respond to their one-week ultimatum of honouring a financial obligation
Ghanaian Premier League side Berekum Chelsea will drag Tunisian giants Esperance du Tunis to world football governing body, Fifa if they fail to pay the transfer fee of Emmanuel Clottey by the close of next week.
Goal.com Ghana can reveal that the management of the former Ghanaian champions have already drafted the letter which will be sent to Fifa if the Blood and Gold fail to heed the deadline.
"Esperance are yet to pay a penny to our accounts for the transfer fee of Clottey though they were using him in their league games," a close source around the president of the club told Goal.com Ghana.
"They promised to settle the amount before Christmas but up till now they have not paid anything and we have also not heard from them."
“We are giving them up to next week; if they do not come we are going to Fifa."
Clottey’s contract at Esperance was terminated last week after the Tunisians failed to fulfill any of the agreements.
