The alma mater of the former Sunderland player is to honour their ‘illustrious’ son for bringing honour to them and the country
Goal.com Ghana understands that the three-day event which will include sporting activities and a citation for Gyan is to reward him for bringing honour to the school.
Also, the honouring of the Baby Jet by the school is aimed at serving as encouragement for students of the institution, who are coming up to help them excel in every field.
Gyan completed the basic school in 1999 before heading to Accra Academy for his secondary education.
The event is expected to be attended by various dignitaries including Black Stars coach James Kwesi Appiah as well as the players.
