The Asante Kotoko centre-back will travel to the Rainbow Nation next week to have trials with the former South African champions

Newly-appointed coach of Mamelodi Sundowns Pitso Mosimane is eyeing a move for Kumasi Asante Kotoko's centre-back Rashid Sumaila.

Goal.com Ghana understands the former Bafana Bafana coach is banking hopes on the Ghanaian as he seeks to add more steel to the back.

Sumaila, who is on loan from Ebusua Dwarfs will travel to the Rainbow Nation next week to have trials with the former South African champions for a possible outright buy.

Goal.com Ghana can also confirm that if he is successful in the trials Dwarfs will rake an amount of $600,000 as his transfer fee.

The former Black Meteors defender who has been one of the most enterprising defenders in the Ghana Premier League so far was part of the Black Stars team who went for training tour in Abu Dhabi, but was dropped before the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.

Meanwhile, Sundowns are on the verge of sacking Ghana striker Emmanuel Baffour for poor performance.
