Olympique Marseille’s Andre Ayew is happy with the signing of the Senegalese, who has described the Ghanaian as the pivot of the Stade Velodrome sideGhana international Andre Ayew has heaped praises on new team-mate Modou Sougou, describing him as a quality player who is going to fill the void left by Loic Remy.
“Sougou is a fantastic player, he is left-footed and very offensive minded, I have watched him before and I think he is a great buy for us,” Ayew told his club's official website.
“He will be very useful for us as we seek to win the Europa Cup and the league.”
The 27-year-old Senegalese who also spoke to Goal.com Ghana indicated that he is happy to play with the Ayew brothers and believes Marseille will go forward.
“I played with Ghanaian William Tiero at Academica Coimbra in Portugal and at CFR Cluj. I was with youngster Godfred Adofo, they are all very good,” Sougou told Goal.com Ghana.
“The Ayews are the fulcrum of Marseille and they play very well.”
