Kwesi Appiah makes changes to the Black Stars team that will play Mali today

The Ghana manager who admitted to tactical indiscipline in the first game against DR Congo has effected a few changes to the team that will face the Eagles of Mali

Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah has made changes to the team that will take on Mali in the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations Group B match today.

The coach has moved Juventus’ Kwadwo Asamoah to the midfield after deploying him as a left-back in the first match against DR Congo which ended 2-2.

Asamoah will be playing directly behind striker Asamoah Gyan.

Isaac Vorsah who has passed the fitness test will partner John Boye in central defence. This means Jerry Akaminko who conceded a penalty in the first match will be benched.

Rabiu Mohammed takes over the place of Derek Boateng as he joins Emmanuel Agyemang Badu in defensive midfield.

Albert Adomah and Mubarak Wakaso will man the wings as Christian Atsu starts from the bench.

Ghana and Mali will clash at 15:00 at the Nelson Mandela Bay stadium in Port Elizabeth.
