Ghana begin preparations for Mali on Thursday with open training session

The four-time African champions will hold an open training session this morning in Port Elizabeth as they gear up for the match against Mali on Thursday


The Black Stars are set to hold an open training session this morning at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University Soccer Field.

 The training marks the beginning of preparations ahead of the second group match against Mali on Thursday.

 Thursday’s meeting with the Eagles is a must-win match for Ghana who failed to win their opening game on Sunday.

 Kwesi Appiah’s men threw away a two nil lead to draw 2-2 with DR Congo in Port Elizabeth.

 Mali top Group B after beating Niger 1-0.

 After the training, the Ghana team will hold a press conference in the afternoon at the Garden Court Hotel in Port Elizabeth.
