The retired striker is welcoming talented Ghanaians in Slovenia to help them achieve their dream of becoming professional footballers
The ex-striker said it is a budding football nation with lots of infrastructure hence Ghanaian players could take advantage of it to blossom.
He said he will not like to see budding talents from Ghana suffer before getting to the limelight and he is ready to help.
“I spent most of my professional career playing in the Slovenian top flight league before retiring,” Issah told Goal.com Ghana. “It is a nice place to hone football talents.”
“Slovenia played in the World Cup even before Ghana. They were in Japan and South Korea 2002 and they have greatly improved since then.
“They have everything but they don’t have the talents there. I have spoken with their national team coach and other top club football coaches and very soon I will be sending players there for them to be groomed,” he disclosed.
The forward played for Olimpija Ljulbljana, NK Beltinci and a host of Slovenian clubs before hanging his boots six years ago after sustaining a knee injury against Anderlecht in the then European Cup.
