The winger is joining the Libyan side to keep his form as he hopes to impress the Black Stars handlers

Al Ittihad Sakndary of Egypt winger Francis Akwaffo-Boateng has signed a six-month loan deal with Libyan club Al Nasser of Benghazi to help him keep active, Goal.com Ghana can exclusively reveal.

He said he hopes to use the short spell to impress the national team handlers.

“Because there is no league going on in Egypt, I cannot stay idle like that so I have signed a six months loan deal with Al Nasser club of Libya to keep in shape,” Akwaffo-Boateng exclusively told Goal.com Ghana.

“Al Nasser will be playing in this year’s Caf Confederation Cup and it is a big opportunity for me to also prove myself and catch the eye of Black Stars coach James Kwesi Appiah for a call-up.”

He added: “My main is to help Al Nasser win the Confederations Cup which I am very optimistic that we can do in grand style.”

Akwaffo-Boateng, 26, has been the main engine of Al Ittihad since moving there from Kumasi Asante Kotoko. He also had a short spell with Libyan side Al Ahly Benghazi some years back.
