Kwadwo Asamoah to start as left back as Ghana play Egypt in a friendly match today

The 24-year-old Juventus midfielder is set for extra roles at the 2013 Afcon as coach Kwesi Appiah hands him a left back role when Ghana take on Egypt today

Ghana coach, Kwesi Appiah has named his starting eleven for today’s pre-Afcon friendly against Egypt in Abu Dhabi.

The match is the first friendly match by the Black Stars ahead of the 2013 Africa cup of nations in South Africa.

Ashgold’s Fatau Dauda will start in post while Emmanuel Clottey will be leading the attack.

The likes of Harrison Afful, Mubarak Wakaso and Albert Adomah have been handed starting roles.

Interestingly, Juventus’ Kwadwo Asamoah will start in the left back position.

The match kicks off at 9pm local time (1700 GMT).
