The Miners are in talks with All Stars with the hope of landing the services of their shot-stopper Robert Dabuo as their first choice leaves with the Black Stars

Ghana Premier League side Ashanti Gold have confirmed they are almost through with discussions to have a replacement for goalkeeper Fatau Dauda, who will be in camp with the Black Stars.

The Miners revealed they are in talks with Wa All Stars goalkeeper Robert Dabuo to sign him as a stand-in to Dauda, who will be away on national duties in South Africa for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.

“We have advanced talks with Robert Dabuo and very soon we will finalise talks to bring him to AshGold,” CEO Kudjo Fianoo told Accra-based Happy FM.

AshGold are currently lying fifth on the Ghana Premier League log and officials of the Obuasi-based club are going all length to ensure they at least finish the season as one of the top four teams.
