Silas Twumasi on target again for South Bronx United as they defeat Everton

Twumasi netted in the first half to increase his tally to six goals in three games in the Junior Major League Soccer
Ghanaian-born American youngster Silas Twumasi continued his impressive form in the American Junior Major League Soccer as he scored his sixth goal in three games for South Bronx United who beat Everton 2-1.

Twumasi netted in the 25th minute after Julian Atanga played a high through ball allowing him to outpace his marker and slotted past the opposing goalkeeper.

Everton which is owned by the bankrollers of English Premiership side Everton FC equalised in the 43rd minute before another Ghanaian teenager Sarpong managed to win the game for the Bronx-based side in the 88th minute.

Twumasi, 16, has stated his desire to represent the Ghana national Under-17 team though there is interest from the Yankees.
