Richmond Boakye Yiadom says he will fight hard to make the final 23-man Ghana squad for the 2013 Afcon

The young striker doesn't want to get excited yet as he targets a place in the final 23-man team following the announcement of the provisional Afcon squad

Ghana striker, Richmond Boakye Yiadom says he doesn't want to be carried away after he was included in Ghana's 26-man provisional squad for the 2013 Afcon.

The 19-year-old who is among three other strikers named in the provisional team admits there is still work to be done in order to make the final 23-man squad.

The Juventus striker who is on-loan at Sassuolo has scored seven goals in the Serie B this season and remains the top scorer of the club in the Italian second tier.

The former Genoa hitman told Ghana that his hard work has brought him this far.

“I have not rested on my oars because I know playing for the Black Stars is not easy at all.

“I will continue to give out my best during our preparations to ensure I make the final team."

Ghana will camp in the UAE for two weeks before leaving for South Africa where they will be based in Port Elizabeth.
