Yahaya Mohammed surprisingly breaks into Ghana's 2013 Africa Cup of Nations squad
Coach Kwesi Appiah has announced his charges for the 29th edition of the Nations Cup in South Africa as he seeks to end Ghana's 31-year trophy drought
Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah has announced a 26-man squad for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.Surprisingly six locally-based players and 20 foreign-based ones which includes Amidaus Professionals' in-form attacking midfielder Yahaya Mohammed.
Mohammed scored nine goals in nine Glo Premier League appearances this season.
Olympique Marseille striker Jordan Ayew, defender Samuel Inkoom and AC Milan’s Sulley Muntari did not make the cut as speculated by a section of the media early on.
Appiah will prune the register down to a final 23-man roster for the tournament after the Black Stars’ training camp in the United Arab Emirates.
