Samuel Inkoom may have been dropped from Ghana's 2013 Afcon squad

The guardsman at Dnipro may not make it in the 25-man squad that will be announced on Thursday afternoon
Ghana international Samuel Inkoom will not be part of the 25-man squad coach James Kwesi Appiah will send to Abu Dhabi before trimming it down to 23 for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa

A close source to Appiah hinted Ghana the defender was axed from the squad due to his inactiveness at club level.

Inkoom, 23, has been reduced to a mere spectator at Dnipro by Spanish manager Juande Ramos and has barely featured for the Ukrainian outfit this season.

In his absence the source indicated that an additional left-back likely to be Richard Kissi Boateng of Berekum Chelsea will make the team in order to let the first choice left-back Harrison Afful, who is right-footed to also deputise for John Paintsill when the need arises.
