The four-time African champions are set to name their 23-man squad for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations
Ghana coach James Kwesi Appiah will announce his 23-man squad for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa on Thursday.
The 52-year-old will make the announcement at a press conference at the head office of the Ghana Football Association in Accra.
The team is expected to begin preparations in Accra before leaving for the UAE for a two-week training tour after which they will fly to South Africa in a bid to end a 31-year trophy drought.
The Black Stars will be based at Port Elizabeth where they will take on Mali, Niger and Congo DR in Group B.
Ghana will open its campaign on January 20 against Congo DR at the Nelson Mandela Bay stadium.
