The Chievo midfielder admits the competition in the team is very tight but was quick to add that it is possible to maintain his starting spot
Chievo midfielder, Isaac Coffie says he wants to hold on firmly to his starting spot in the team.
The 21-year-old who has been capped once by Ghana has made six appearances for the team this season and started in three games.
But after been handed a starting berth in the last two games, the former Genoa player thinks it is about time he grabs it once and for all.
New coach, Eugenio Corini seems to have a lot of confidence in Coffie and his decision to start in the last two games has paid off since they both resulted in victories.
“I feel happy to be a starter and most importantly helping my team to win the last two Serie A matches.
“The competition in the team is tight but it is not easy for a coach to change a winning team.
“I am really bent on working hard for the coach to know I will deliver whenever he counts on me,” Coffie told Goal.com Ghana.
He will be hoping to make another start when the yellow-blues play against Roma this Sunday.
