The Porcupine Warriors are reported to have prevented the 22-year-old from going on trial in Italy now because they want to keep a solid entity till the end of the term

Kumasi Asante Kotoko have blocked a supposed move by winger Richard Mpong to Italian Serie A side Udinese until the end of the Ghana Premier League season.

Goal.com Ghana understands the management of the Porcupine Warriors prevented the former Under-17 star from traveling to the Stadia Fruili for trials as they want to keep the team intact ahead of their participation in the Caf Champions League next year.

According to reports from the camp of the Ghana Glo Premier League champions, Mpong will be allowed to go for the trials only after the season so us not to disintegrate the former Africa champions.

Mpong, 22, moved from Medeama Sporting Club to the Kumasi-based giants in a co-ownership deal and he has been previously linked to Czech champions Slavia Prague and Turkish second-tier side Adana Demispor.
