Ghana FA to settle on Yaw Preko as Black Satellites assistant coach

The former Ghana international has been tipped to step into the shoes of assistant Prince Owusu, who does not have a Uefa License B coaching certificate
The Ghana Football Association is likely to appoint former Ghana international Yaw Preko as the assistant coach of the Black Satellites in the wake of the imminent dismissal of Prince Owusu, Ghana understands.

Preko who was the assistant coach of Orlando Wellington when the Black Satellites failed in South Africa a year ago, will take post and help whoever gets the nod as the head coach to prepare the team for the Africa Under-20 Youth Championship in Algeria next year.

The former Anderlect winger holds a Uefa License B coaching certificate and is very knowledgeable in youth football after playing for all the junior national teams in Ghana.

Names such as Sebastian Barnes, who is the head coach of the U17 side of Bundesliga giants Bayer Leverkusen, Berekum Chelsea's Yussif Ababakar, Professor Mintah of Ebusua Dwarfs and others, are also being considered.
