The former Asante Kotoko shot-stopper has been tasked to help the club gain promotion to the Ghana Premier League

Former Black Stars goalkeeper George Owu has signed a one year deal with second-tier side Sekondi Hasaacas as he seeks an opportunity to relaunch his career, Goal.com Ghana can reveal.

Owu had been clubless since his release by Egyptian side Al Masry and a return to the club which brought him to stardom is good for both parties as the western giants also begin their fight for promotion to the Ghana elite league.

The veteran goalkeeper who has also featured for the national Under-23 team shot into the limelight at Hasaacas before continuing his exploits at Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

According to a close source to the club, an amount within the region of GhC8000 was paid to the last line of defense and he has been asked to help qualify the team back to the Ghana Glo Premiership.
