Togbe Afedi refunds Esme Mends' $7000 surgery fee

The traditional leader, who is the board chair of the Accra giants, has reimbursed the midfielder after paying for his own treatment in France
The board chairman of Accra Hearts of Oak, Togbe Afedi, has refunded the amount that midfielder Esme Mends used for his surgery in France. Ghana can reveal that the player used an amount of $7000 which was from the coffers of his mother for his surgery in the European country after tearing the ligaments in his knee during a league game last season.

Togbe Afedi who promised to refund the money has done that and the player is expected to start training with the Phobians’ first team soon.

Mends is one of the players coach David Duncan will be looking up to when the league resumes as he seeks to strengthen his midfield.
