Ghana and Udinese's Agyemang Badu fails to make final list for Fifa Puskas award

The Udinese player's goal against Guinea at the 2012 Afcon was not recognized after the list of candidates for the Puskas award was whittled down from ten to three.

Ghana and Udinese’s Emmanuel Agyemang Badu cannot compete for the Fifa Puskas award after failing to make it into the final three.

The 21-year-old’s goal against Guinea at the 2012 Africa cup of nations made it into the initial list of ten.

But the new list of three has Radamel Falcao, Neymar and Fernabache’s Miroslav Stoch.

The Puskas award was established in 2009 to honour the legendary Hungary forward, Puskas.

It is given to the player who scores the best goal in a calendar year.

The winner will be known on January 7, 2013 at the Fifa Ballon d’Or gala.
